OK, after coming on board a few months back I became somewhat interested in doing the 3.15 installation. My local dealer quoted me $2,000 CDN (~1,300 USD)for the part only, which seemed high with what other members had paid, but in line with what BMW was supposed to be charging if not for some pricing mix up blah blah . . . In searching the archives and asking a few questions I learned that Pacific BMW (Louie) was the way to go. At the time he was showing ONE in stock and the price was $450 USD (including core charge). So I went for it and haven't regretted it. In conjunction with the short shifter and removal of the clutch delay valve I'm on my way to becoming just like Jimmy . I have no regrets on the 3.15, but look at it as a part of a process, not an event.
