... wouldn't it be cheaper to sell the 540 and buy an M5 than to invest $15K in a car for which you'll get back perhaps 30% of the incremental investment?

The simple financial question doesn't even start to consider the added benefits of the M5 and the added problems/risks of a supercharger.

: I just got off the phone with Steve Dinan, and we've set an appointment for my car to be supercharged on the 17th of this month. It will take 2 to 3 weeks for them to do it though, because they have to develop the auto tranny software on the car as well. The kit for the manuals is pretty much done, and I'll have to ask him if it's going to be rolled out now, or if they're going to wait until the auto tranny version is finished. I believe that the kit will cover 97 through 99 models. (2000 models will be here soon)
: The supercharger kit will cost $12,000 USD, and labor is around $3,000 USD. (Unless you decide to do it yourself)
