SS

Thanks VERY much for the feedback. That is exactly the kind of information I was looking for.

My 325 is NOT highly modified. Just the JimC chip and free flow exhaust. Estimate approx. 204 hp at the crank on a 92 E36 325i. Not a lot of bottom end torque (Non VANOS), but great mid range and up.

I would truly like to move up to the 5 series for the room, but do not want to lose ALL the sportiness of the 3 series. I am getting older, but not ready to Geeze out yet.

Anyway, you and Dhoang have enlightened me. Obviously, I have not driven a 528i sp/5sp, so my impression was that with the "small" 6 cyl, it may feel sluggish.

I imagine a JimC chip would put the power where I would be very satisfied. Not interested in doing a lot of mods.

Thanks again.
