The concern I have is that it appears the interval has been steadily increasing after BMW started covering the first 36K miles of maintenance. The oil has not changed. The engine has not changed. Why has the duration been getting longer? One wonders what the interval would be if the customer paid for changing oil.

Prediction: the next change in duration will be 18000.5 miles. This will make it so BMW only has to pay for 1 oil change for those that do not hit 36K in the first 3 years.
