: Hi Guys...

: I wanted to know if anyone know anything about the steering wheel buttons and if I would be able to use them if install a new headunit. I wanted to install the Alpine CVA-1000 Mobile Audio/Visual Unit....Any possibility of getting the buttons to work with the new deck???

: Thanks...

: Chris

Those steering wheel switches generate electrical signals that are converted to digital messages and sent out by the instrument cluster onto the common Instrument or Car bus (different buses for different models.

Those digital messages are picked up by the radio, the amp and the CD changer (they are all on the bus) which respond to them according to the software programed into each of them.

So unless you can duplicate that process the answer is NO.
