Escort Solo is OK -- but others are actually good. It also eats batteries and when the batteries die you have no protection. I have a '97 with a Bel remote system -- no wires but high cost; and a '00 with a V1 wired as shown in many posts in the archives -- very unobtrusive and absolutely terrific in performance. Higher $$ than most others but cheaper than the remote systems too. IMHO, V1 is the way to go.
