I once had a pair of rotors turned - only lasted one year and warped - never again.

Assuming that the rotors were more than 50% gone when I changed pads - yes I would change both.
I would never put new rotors on with old pads.

Regarding pads - I have always used the BMW pads specified for the car. Although I "HATE" the dust I don't want to get into doing a lot of experimenting, and possible getting squeeling - which BMW seems to finally have almost eliminated (thank you !).

Now if they can solve the dust problem I will be really impressed.
