: Hi, can someone tell me what are crank bearings. Also, does number of crank bearings have anything to do with the studiness of the engine?

: cheers,

Crankshaft bearings are the material used in between the crankshaft and the engine block. There are also connecting rod bearings which are the material used in between the crankshaft and the connecting rods. In both cases oil is used to provide the viscous media for the crankshaft to spin. The bearings do not physically touch the crankshaft..
