I've had my '00 540iA for about a month now and have been starting all of the routine things we should all be doing (wash/wax, tire pressure, oil/water/battery levels, tweaking settings, installing various "stuff" (see earlier posting below), etc.)
Today was the day I bought my tire pressure gauge.
SURPRISE!
Three of my tires were at 34 psi and the fourth tire (front left) was at 42 psi!! I lowered the fourth tire down to 34 psi pending determination of what psi I want to have the tires at.
Yes, I measured them cold and yes, I double-checked the readings and yes, I have a high-quality gauge.
Interestingly, I hadn't noticed any pulling to the right yet I did notice a subtle low-frequency drone, independent of speed, from that tire.
For those that may have forgotten my Euro Delivery woes of trashing one of my wheels, that was the wheel/tire that was replaced in-transit to the US.
Lesson to be learned - make no assumptions. Get in the habit of checking as much about your car as you feel comfortable doing.
Does anyone have a checklist at-hand of the things they check each week/month?
Also, I bought a California Duster today - great product. Saved me a car-wash this week.
Also#2, the xpel install has been delayed a week due to weather - good weather. It's tough to tell the wife we can't go to the beach because I want to frolic with my German mistress ... again.
