: On monday I am contacting every newspaper and TV station that will listen... I think it should make very interesting headlines don't you??? BMW just could not leave well enough alone... now they want to go for round 2! If they have any remorse at all they will contact me before I do this.... if not, it will be a media circus even Don King would be proud of ;-)

: : Here is a little more research on the ip# of that "No Sympathy" poster... the ip block is assigned to BMW of North America....

: : UUNET Technologies, Inc. (NETBLK-NETBLK-UUNETCBLK16) NETBLK-UUNETCBLK16
: : 207.16.0.0 - 207.19.255.0
: : BMW of North America (NETBLK-UU-207-16-209-144) UU-207-16-209-144
: : 207.16.209.144 - 207.16.209.151

: : You can do the trace yourself by taking the IP# for the top of that "no sympathy" post and checking it this web address: - http://whois.arin.net/whois/arinwhois.html - and typing in th ip# in the search box...

: : : Well,
: : : A little further down this page you will see my post about my 528i Lemon... someone posted right after it saying "no sympathy" I did a trace on the ip# and address and it leads back to a dial up account for BMW CORPORATE OFFICES!!!!!!
: : : go down and read the post for yourselves and look at the ip# at the top of the post, it terminates at BMW1.....

: : : here is the trace I did, but read further on down to the original post.....

: : : ... remember - you are not as invisible as you may think when you are on the web... how sad for BMW.

Hi Len. Look, I sympathize with your problem. I even suggested you resolve the dispute, if possible, rather than continuing the fight. But to go to the news based on an "IP" trace? Why don't you send a letter to BMW-NA corporate with your facts and ask them to respond. The newsgroup response could have been from one person that does not reflect the company but that one person's view - maybe not but possible you must admit. Give them a chance to respond anyway and post results.
