: I love my 00- 528i, but there is one option I wish was available when I purchased it...I would like to have an in-dash Navigational Unit. I am curious, can a person with a Navigational swap radio's with a person w/o the Navigational? It appears the size of the two units are identical, and I do not see why this will not work. I hate the goose neck Navigational, so that is out of the question.

: What do you all think? I am deseperate to have an in-dash Navigational System in my car...

: Also, if anyone would like to swap with me (the radio & the Nav. disk unit...for a fee), please let me know!

: Thanx...

Anybody installed the NAV accessory for E39? I think it's nicer than the E36 accessory that blocks the air vent. It's also about the same price as integrated NAV. The thing that intrigues me is the possibility of BMW upgrading it to DVD and then I probably would want to add it. One of the reasons I did not opt for the NAV was because of previous posts about 'slow', 'old CDROM technology', 'too many CD's to cover wide geography', etc. In the picture at least, I don't find the gooseneck offensive.

Rgds,
Norm
