: : NO, you can not spoof an ip address. It is an integral part of how the web works and can not be spoofed!
: : : : Can the IP address of a post to this board be spoofed?
: : : : Marty
: It can be spoofed, and in most cases it can't be spoofed effectively because if your spooking your ip then the server is sending the results back to the wrong ip, so you get no Interaction.
: BUT! In this case, with this message board, a person can submit the form using a spoofed ip and not care about receiving feedback so in this case it would work. If the board script required you to CONFIRM the message after submitting, then it would be impossible. But on this board a person could submit with the packet information containing the incorrect ip info, it will route to the web server, get processed as a post, then the web server will send the resuling message display back to the wrong ip, but it would still have already accepted the post.
