: Thanks.

: Our salesman didn't have prices for the 2001 5s yet. But he didn't think there would be much if any change.

: He did have the option list.
: As far as I can tell, the only differences for 01
: is that you can now get the cold weather package with the sport package (but not the heated wheel) and you can finally get an in-dash CD player.

: Apparently the universal garage door opener is now standard. And 5s now comes with "white indicator lenses" ala the 2001 7 series.
: Oh and there's a new color "Slate Green".

: We went with Cosmos Black/Stone Green, heated seats, parallel spoke wheels, and in-dash CD.
: That's to replace my Cosmos Black/Gray M3.
: I guess I'm going up 2 cylinders and one speed.

: My wife has a 97 540ia. I test drove a used 540ia with sport. To me, there was a world of difference with the sport suspension. I don't think I'd be happy with the standard 540 vs the M3 but I'll happily give up a little handling for more luxury in the 6-speed.

for the 5 Series you didn't mention: topaz blue (replacing biarritz blue) and possibly (but not definetely) steel blue. BTW, slate green replaces glacier green. Just my $0.02 worth.
