This happened to me a while ago.

The dealer found that one of the switches on the driver seat was stuck in a closed position.

It only shows when you close the door with the key. In my case it ran the seat all the way to the back.

The dealer expert technician had never seen it before and could not explain why the seat did not move until the door was locked with the remote.

Someone with expert knowledge of the electronics system might understand this, if it is of importance.
