: Before I bring my '97 528 into the dealer I thought I'd see if anyone else has had this problem. Whenever I unlock the car, (with either the remote or the key) my seat mysteriously moves to different position. The position is none of the positions I have programmed in memory. I originally thought it might be a key memory problem but it also happens if I leave the car sitting (unlocked) for a bit and just open the door. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem in my 1998 528. Either the seat would move to a different position or the seat and stearing wheel whould lock completely and could not be adjusted. BMW tried for 6 months to correct the problem and eventually flipped me into a 1999 528.
