: Well I broke down and tore apart my DSP enclosure to find out everything about it that I can and help future buyers and current owners understand the setup.

These are 5.25" approx size drivers. They are a PIECE of junk and are pretty bad. I have considered two replacement options
FOCAL 5WS (5 1/8" Woofer)
Polk DB 5510 Separate (5.25" Driver that does 60hz and up!)
http://www.polkaudio.com/publish/db5510.htm
MB quart QM 215.61Q (does 50hz and up)
http://www.mbquart.com/mobil/q_series.htm

I have not tried any of these 5.25" drivers to see if there was a major increase. I am one that wants to go down to 20hz, which will require a larger woofer. This is why I probably going with the Kicker 12" DVC Solobaric SQUARE woofer (moves as much air as a 15" and its square).

I've have DB5510 Polk speakers in my doors of my Grand Prix GTP (www.gtpforsale.com), I am considering pulling them out next week and TEST them in the stock BMW DSP enclosure if I find the time. No guarantees. If I do have the time I will post the results.
