some of the dots are not appearing in the grapic display. Other times the same dots do appear. for example the numeral six shows something like one. Next day it is ok. Later in the drive other numerals have parial display show up like in the accumulated trip miles. Is this a serious problem? 1997 540i still under warranty for 30 more days.
Recently had alternator replaced . Perhaps 45 days ago.

Get it changed on the warranty ASAP because it will be expensive
