BMW also forgets to mention the potential for premature bearing wear caused by the larger wheels and tires appearing on new vehicles. Both these conditions can accelerate improper and premature tire wear, especially "cupping", which seems to be one of the main reasons in purcahsing new tires. There can be substantial tread depth left, but if they are cupped, forget it. I rotate when the sizes allow. Just my .02. allen
