Be sure to get a UUC short shift kit. It really makes the gear box sing.
Just curious. I will be getting a 540i6 soon. Having never driven a 6-spd much, except for the test drive, I was wondering if anyone has experienced or heard of missed-shift problems like the infamous E36M3, where valves hit pistons. I think in many of the M3 cases, it's a missed shift from 5th, hitting 2nd instead of 4th. With the 540i6, I can possibly see coming out of 6th and pssoibly hitting 3rd instead of 5th. Of course you automatic guys will say the solution is obvious - but I want a manual. Just want to be ready with the best information when I start driving it.

Rgds,
Norm
