Also included in each repair job (all 3 times) was new plexiglass, new blue/red bezel, complete polishing/scratch removal, etc etc....better than new when returned.

One final statement: Do you complain when you service your Bimmer -and get charged 800 bucks? That's part of the initiation fees...yet you go with it instead of buying a Toyota. Mechanical watches surely arent the cheapest alternatives but...just like a Bimmer, there's no emotional comparison. And, that's all it boils down to...emotion..mechanical watches are 'pur sang' watches.
PS: my back-up watch (while my real watch is getting serviced) is a 30 buck Casio. :o)
