The reason I'm considering a leatherette interior is that in North America, we don't get the really good Nappa leather. We got "Montana" leather instead, which is rather course and cheap feeling, IMHO -- so why bother paying for it. Anyone who's seen or smelled real Nappa leather (sit in a Porsche 911 sometime) knows exactly what I mean. On the other hand, the Germans are known for really upscale vinyl interiors. Check out a MBenz sometime that has an MBTex interior.
