540i pre-purchase questions (archive)

I am going to email the guy some questions about a 540i I'm interested in. Are there any particular issues I should ask about? The car is a 1997 540i 6-speed with 46000 miles. It has NAV, cell phone, premium sound, cd changer, and comfort seats.
