I'm thinking about getting a car. Around 55K. I was thinking about the e46 M3, but i don't want to wait. How do you guys like your 540i? Should i get a fully loaded 528/530 or just a regular 540i (with rims).. What would you guys do if you were in my place? Oh, and i'm not that old, so insurance cost is an issue. Also what do you guys think of the C32? Same price as the 540i... (One is a V8, one is a Supercharged V6..) You guys have more experience, please help me out. I don't want to buy a car and then be unhappy with it.

Also do you guys think that BMW is going to mess up the steering wheel on the 530, like they did with the 330?

I'm pretty happy with my 00 540i/6. Once you drive one it's hard to drop down to anything lower. Me, previously leasing a Lexus SC400 realize how much more in tune with the road a 540i is. I'm also single and fairly young and am not really bothered with the "family" image the 4 door brings. I think it's harder to label a BMW with a family image, despite its four doors. I see many single younger people driving four doors. Depending where you live, a 5 series can be pretty common too if you want the "exclusive" sort of image. If you're thinking of a fully loaded 528/530, I think they drive nice too, and are also powered pretty well too. Just my thoughts...
