I purchased and installed the tilt and slide leather armrest. All was fine until today.

It has a magnetic clasp to hold it in the closed position. The magnet does not hold it shut and it stays open (way open!). It appears that the rear makes contact before the front and puts tension on the unit that the magnet isn't strong enough to overcome.

Any suggestions?!?!?!

Did you install the extra 2 attachment fasteners (the ones down insde that attache to that bracket 9 I am going by memory but you hve to get 2 additional small bolts and secure the unit lower down so it has the proper support)

If not this might cause the unit to be incorrectly alligned - a guess.
