I have test driven 3 528i's, from 97 to 98 models and in each one was a very specific smell. I couldn't tell what it was but the leather really smelled bad. At first I thought it was just the first car, then I thought the second one smelled just the same as a coincidence. But when i went to a different preowned dealer and drove the 3rd vehicle I decided that this smell must be inherent to the car. Anyone know about it? Smell aside I really love the styling of the car, the tight suspension it had and strong V6 the 528 had. Please let me know if you have any suggestions to remove the smell. I think it may be that the cars are locked up under the Texas sun and the leather can't breathe. But I'm not sure. Please email me or i'll try to check this board in the future for responses. Thanx
