Call BMW of Canada and request a Canadian spec BMW catalogue. They will mail one to a USA address sometimes. BMWAG has two grades of cloth interiors, with Canadians getting the better qualtiy. Chances are that you can special order it from your U.S. dealer at no extra charge from leatherette.

Oddly, AFAIK, the U.S. is the only country in the world that BMW offers leatherette.


I really liked the base model 5 series (525) that I rented in Germany. I even like the steel wheels and manual cloth seats and that is the exact model that I would buy if it were possible. Can I get a car with cloth seats without all the gadgets and crap that the US models normally have?
