I will order a ´01 520i in october and never thought in a postitive way about the poor basic equipment in Germany. I just returned from Newport R.I., seeing these fully loaded American spec. cars....
But I think you´re right. The essentials of a car aren´t the gadgets but it´s rather the qualtiy of engineering.
