Not sure where you heard the 530 was under powered. I would suggest that you test drive a 330i and see for your self before you decide on a 540 ($$$). I know that the 530 is more than enough for my needs but everyone is different.
If you were to order one now it typically takes 6-8 weeks for delivery. I am sure you would get a reasonable deal on a 00' 540 if you can find what you want.


Hey guys i'm new on the board.....I ordered a 01 530ia for oct production and expect delivery in late october but after reading all the posts about the 530 being under powered I am reconsidering and maybe going with the 540ia. If I were to order one now when would I get the car? Would I get a better on a 00 540ia? Thaks for the help, Gary
