I happened to be at the dealership today and noticed that some of the '00 5 Series on the lot had plastic exterior door handles. Same design, just plastic. I have always liked the heft and solid feel of the 5 Series door handles. I think BMW was the last to use them. Kind of a shame.

strange my oct 99 build 528, resonate like metal, have not tried magnet,think they are metal.where there some on the lot that felt like metal?
