I ordered (and paid for) a 2001 530iA Cosmos/Black w/Prem-Sport, Xenons, etc... on May 30. When I ordered at Pentagon Cars Sales in Germany, I was told my order was a week 38 production....not. Informed by Pentagon last week that due to the overwhelming popularity of the 530i in the states, my order (all military sales) has been pushed to production week 47 or later by BMW! Arrgghhh!

I'm pissed! Understanding that I'm getting a great deal ($5200 below USMSRP), I would have probably went ahead and ordered a 2000 528iA for delivery in August looking at a late Dec delivery on the '01.

Anyone else suffering the same fate?

By the way, drove a 330i today. The 3.0L has much better torgue across the RPM spectrum.

85 728iA (classic)
01 530iA (eventually?)
