It sits lower than the bottom edge of the rocker panel, therefore does not match up to the baseline when viewing the side of the car. To remedy this, which one must or else have a car look unbalanced, is to use hamann rocker sills, which IMO is unnecessary w/ factory sport pkg.
You will for certain scrape the Hamann aero kit the very first time you exit from an incline.

You don't have any of those probs w/ the factory M5 spoiler.

I have been dreaming of putting an aerodynamic front end on my car. I looked at all the aftermarket offerings and the ones from BMW. I still keep coming back to the M5 front end. I just love it. I know, I know, just buy an M5!

I have done everything or am in the process of doing everything to my 540i that I could or could afford (saving for SC, maybe in a couple of months) and would like to add aero kit. Now, I can either buy the M5 front end and hide forever from this board or buy something I like less and still get to tell people about it.

If you like the M5, then check the Hamann M5 style spoiler. It'll blow the regular M5 spoiler away. Or if you really want to "go out there" try the Hamann COMPETITION aero kit. Here's their site: http://www.hamann-motorsport.de/
