Any takers on that fitting? Make sure you have a camera handy.

From what I've heard, my physique and the sport seats won't go together.

Thanks for the reply,
Scott

Scott - (I think, if I read this thread right)

I've made a complaint about the sport seats before. To be a bit more specific:

My seat backs are too confining at the top and I don't fit in them with a 45" chest. I will definitely look for a wider seat back next time. My narrow butt fits fine, but more ample folks have complained about the thigh bolsters being too tight. Otherwise, I think they would be a perfect seat for someone smaller. DON'T do like I did and DO try them out first.

Now, that's for a guy. I don't know if they will fit a woman with a 45" chest, but my email is up there and a fitting can be arranged....

Did you ever sit in the 3 series sport seats? They didn't feel confining to me at all. Must be a completely different seat.

Does the bottom of the comfort seat feel any different than the standard seat? Or is the extra back angle adjustments the only difference?

I would really like to see the seats firsthand. Unfortunately, my dealer usually orders all their cars with exactly the same options, and that includes the standard seats.

I appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

I had ordered a 540iA with sports package and sports seats. I drove it for about 30 minutes and my butt and thigh area was sore. I liked how they held you in with the side bolsters but the seat bolsters were too much. Luckly I did not buy the car yet and ordered another car with comfort seats and have had no problem with them. I also ordered a few more options that I did not have on the original order. I'm about 5'10" and 190 lbs.

A lot of other people do like the sport seats a lot.
Probably need to try one out before you decide.

Background: I drove a 528i sport with manual tranny for about 1.5 hours. My girlfriend and I both had sore bumms afterwards. It seemed like the seat was a very plush layer over a hard layer. These were standard seats.

I have driven a few 3 series, and found that the sport seats are extremely comfy... so I'm wondering if the sport seats on the 5 are as comfortable.

Anyone have comments? For the record, I'm 5'8" and weigh about 225lbs. I remember someone stating that they were too confining.

Thanks,
Scott
