Dinan's charts appear to be crank HP numbers - I'd like to know how they arrive at these. I assume they're not actually pulling the engine from the car and running it up on a Superflow engine dyno or some such.

I'd like to see Dinan's numbers corroborated by third-party before/after wheel HP and torque numbers.

Sometime in the next couple of months I expect I'll have our 540i on a chassis dyno, that might provide some information.
