These are for a manual transmission and unmodified - if the 'Stang's an auto no problem.

This is also assuming that the 'Stang driver knows what he/she is doing (hard launches and powershifting)

'86 to '88 - more than likely even SVO turbo
'88 to '89 - probably
'90 to '93 - probably not
'94 to '98 - probably (likely)
'99 to current - probably not

Cobra in '93 - probably not
Cobra '94 - '96 - probably!
Cobra '97 - '98 - probably not
Cobra '99 to current - no

But in all the cases above, it really comes down to the driver. The outcome of the race will be pretty close.

Wait 'till you are a 1/4 tank or less and he just filled up. It'll help that much more :-)
