mistaken these dyno graphs are just that: graphs from a car that has been chipped, etc ad nauseum just as u suggest and if you were right -that these mods improve high-RPM performance- you would see the delta (space) between the stock and Dinan curves widen with RPMs -which these dont, they pretty much follow the stock curves just at a higher level.
So, yes, these mods give you more ultimate HP at any given RPMs, but they dont change the HP/torque band very much, hence my postulate holds true: nothing to be gained by shifing much over 6100
