Is the padding different than the standard seats, or is it just the articulated back?

The difference in terms of 'sittability' is primarily the articulated back.

The bottom squib is unfortunately too similar to the base seat, meaning it's far too short for my thighs.

We've got the sport seats, and I'm very happy with them - lateral support on backrest and extensible thigh support make all the difference.
