Transmission making noise when car is cold (archive)

Hi, This morning, It was freezyyyy in here (Toronto' canada,) only 3Deg Celcius... Still, It was sunny. I took my little beauty out and I notice a very strange noise coming out from the transmission, A loud sound, something like grrrrrrrrrrrr but different from usual. Did anyone knows if there is any major problems with this tranny for that year of car.. Plz tell me before my warranty goes out..
