the carpets, it depends on what kind of dirt you got in the areas you get in and out of the car. If it's light dust, obviously it's gonna show. if it's dark, it won't. simple as that.
As much as I love black (and sand is my second favorite, btw) it does get hot as hell during the summer.
My car is blk/blk.
if I was getting topaz, I'd still get black if I could find it. (i'm too impatient to order a car.) if I couldn't get black, I'd go with Sand.
I only like grey with black or silver cars. That color feels cold to me. black, for some odd reason, doesn't. I also find I don't get tired of it. This is the 2nd blk/blk bmw I buy.
How about Silver outside and black inside? or anthracite and black? both are really sweet, although topaz/blk would get my vote.

Black interiors with those medium and dark blues looks too...well... cold. Sand compliments blues, and warms it up nicely.
White cars with black interiors look very crisp, and are easy to maintain (I've owned 3 cars this way).
I got to choose the car (540iA 2001 Sports Pkg). Wife gets to choose the color (for the most part) and she likes the Topaz Blue with Sand Leather. I am okay with that, however I prefer Black Leather. She says the black is too dark, but would like the Black Leather with the Alpine White exterior. To me the Black Leather is sporty and aggressive...
Does anyone have any "light-yielding" opinions on a Topaz Blue with Black Leather I might share with my wife?? Alpine White is fine with me too. Anyone ever see the Alpine with Black Leather?
