Although I have not seen it in person, I was told it is very similar, if not identical, to the "standard" a/c system in the X5: Basically three rotary knobs (like the light switches). One will select air distribution, the other will control the fan, and the third controls the temperature. The A/C compressor is handled by an adjacent button, as are the recirculate function and the rear window heater buttons. Sounds very much like the A/C system used in the E28 528e/533i/535i from 1982-1988.


anyone have a pic or know what the standard setup looks like. the brochure has no info on it, except that the dual climate control is optional on the 525.

I love the 5 much more than the 3 but am slightly short of cash for the 5, thining of getting a 525i stick with limited options.
