Just put some S-02 PP's on my 540i and notice a significant and confidence inspiring improvement in wet weather adhesion. All the performance tires stick in the dry well enough that you have to get pretty crazy to really test the limits on the street, but wet adhesion is a real world advantage...

...ago, I replaced the factory SP Sport 2000E with the Michelin Pilot series tires also thinking that they where the best tires around. I will honestly say that overall they where great and dry handling is unbelievable but wet weather handling was a nightmare. One of the times I had taken my car to the track, it had rained the night before and it was still sprinkling so the track was extremely wet and slippery. Just about everyone was slipping and sliding everywhere except this one M3 so walked over to his car and checked out his tires and he had the Bridgestone S-02. I did some research and it turns out that these tires not only have incredible dry handling but they way they handle the wet is equally amazing. So about two months, when I upgraded to the M5 wheels, I promptly put the new Bridgestone S-02 Poleposition tires on and can honestly say they are great. There is however one con about them and that is they do not have the tread life the Michelins do (about 20K-24K miles, depending on your driving style).

What my incoherent babbling is trying to say is that if you need performance tires that can handle the dry and wet, check out the Polepositions as well.
