I'm not having a dig but, if you read the manual a dozen times you can just about understand what it does and then you'll find it works a treat, it is confusing to start with.

I had the standard 'manual' a/c in my previous E34 (same on E39) and after fiddling with the climate control in my E39 for a couple of weeks I would honestly say it is loads better. If I had to pay for it as an option though, I'm not so sure but it does look good!


Yes, you need to turn on the AC manually, and adjust the vent temperature manually too. My Acura Legend automatic climate control is much better than that, just set the temp, and it will adjust by itself, cold, hot, AC on/off.
