I don't know where you are but in the UK I paid £250 for everything against £470 odd for the real thing. I gather the BMW one is an Alpine anyway but obviously rebadged and with the interface integrated, hence the fact the 820 fits and works so well.

sorry I was actually referring to a 5.

how much was the Alpine 820? and the adapter.

I am thining whether I should order the car with the indash CD or just spend a little more and get the changer.
