Upping the woofers to 10" would be a beneficial thing to do, but that doesn't come close to explaining $1200. Unless the new coax offers a substantial improvement in mid-bass (one of many shortcomings in the E39 stereos), adding another driver to the alread-three-per-side up front also is a strange improvement indeed - why?

Kevlar cones for increased power handling!! Theoretically, kevlar will help stiffen the cone for cleaner sound, but will have little (if anything) to do with improved power handling.

And what power are we trying to get it to handle anyway? It's not like the DSP system is overpowering the speakers.

IMHO, skip this so-called upgrade. Your best bet is to roll your own with one of the many improvements discussed in posts past.
