6000 mi ago i bought a ste of mich pilot sports 235-17s-no stagger for my 98 540ia-okay i dont exactly obey the posted speed limits and i have spun the rear end around a time or two-my rear times are showing considerable wear and the front tires are shot on the edges-i am running 35 lbs of air per the bmw dealer instructions-should i rotate these tires or just use the front ones up completely-has anyone ever tried to shape or shave their tires??{flame bait}-there is an alignment shop in town that does this and a buddy of mine has this done on all his cars-{911s Jags and Rovers}does 35 lbs of air sound correct?-comments please-thanks in advance-chris

Chris, if the inner side of the tires are worn first because of the camber, you can switch. And if you want to switch the rear to front, I gues there is no problem at all, just be careful with the rotation. As for the tire pressure, I think I will use a bit higher pressure like 37 or 38 all around. Just my thoughts. And about the shaving, never seen somebody did that before, and I don't think I want to do that to my tires personally.
