This topic has been beaten pretty hard in the past, but without much a final decision. So the question is:

For those with over 60,000 miles, did you change your timing chain? At how many miles? What was the rationale?

My old 70 Mercury went 250,000 miles before the chain needed replacing (died when it broke!).
