Leaf blowers for drying (archive)

While doing some research on car cleaning products, I came across some posts in the archives about people using leaf blowers to dry their cars. I'm considering this, but I have some questions:

- Are there any drawbacks to this approach (paint damage, etc.)? I can't seem to think of any, except maybe hitting the car with the blower accidentally :-).

- How much power? I found a few on Amazon, ranging from 110mph to 200mph blowing speeds. What's the right speed?

The 110mph blower was $30, which is about the cost of four top of the line 100% cotton towels. On the minus side, seems that the $30 blower can catch on fire if you run it too long. Go figure..

Thanks in advance.
