1- XENONS
2- IN DASH CD
3- MOONROOF
4- SPORT PACKAGE (CONSIDERING AND WOULD APPRECIATE INPUT AS TO WHETHER IT IS WORTH IS ON THE NEW 525I).
COLORS TO CONSIDER:
1- BLACK (NON-MET)
2- COSMOS BLACK
3- ANTHRACITE
4- SLATE GREEN
GIVE ME ANY AND ALL INPUT - I'M SERIOUS AND WANT TO ORDER THE CAR SO THAT IT ARRIVES IN TIME FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY.
I THINK I'LL LIKE SLATE GREEN IF IT'S MORE SILVERISH THAN GREEN. I'M TAKING A POLL HERE.
No crap here! Especially about leatherette or slate green. Get what you want. I wish I would have ordered leatherette. It smells REALLLY good and it's softer than the "Montana Leather." And if it's for your wife, I am sure she will love Slate Green, if it's anything like Glacier Green. I have Glacier and I always get compliments on the "beautiful" color, from both men and women. Too many blacks and silvers around (heck, too many E39's where I live!) so be different. I love it when I pull up next to a silver 5er because I am sure they are thinking "oou it's not quite silver...what color is that?" :-)
Sounds like you have it optioned just the way I would do it. (see link for photos) You might want to spring for the climate control if it's not included on the 525i because I am amazed at how "smart" it is. I love the auto-recirc, and how the vents open separately at different times, and how it won't blow air on you full blast until the system reaches the temperature that you've set. It is really cool. I personally think PDC is a waste of money (I might get flamed for that!) especially with the passenger mirror that tilts down to see the curb. And who needs auto-dimming interior mirrors and auto-on wipers when you can do it in one second yourself? You've made the right choices but you might want to look into getting auto climate control. And go for the slate green!
BTW, at 8300 miles my car is mechanically flawless. I did have a problem with a xenon that took 2 weeks of one-eyed driving before they had the part to fix it. Covered under warranty. Be prepared for a few "creaks" here and there though.
Also, I think it's great you're buying NEW. Nothing like your own NEW BMW that you break in and watch the miles rack up.
Congrats in advance,
JFrench
