Seriously - if the bulge wasn't too big, and the actual nail hole wasn't too near the edge to otherwise be fixed, I might be tempted to patch the hole on the inside and bleed down the bulge if it didn't deflate when the air was removed from the tire. Outside sidewall rubber is just there to protect the cords from the weather/curbs/etc - it's not a major structural part of the tire. My wallet is having sympathy pains for your wallet.

the nail penatrated the tire and allowed air to leak into the outer-ply of the tire, which caused the tire to buldge on the sidewall. Anyone got one 275/30 19" P-Zero FS?
