This might be OT, but I was just wondering if any person has resisted paying luxury tax on the basis that it limits freedom of speech. Im not a lawyer so I may sound stupid, ..Is it not my right to express myself through buying an "expensive car" and does not imposing a tax on only certain items (Ex. a car labled a "luxury item")limit one's freedom of expression?
a hypothetical situation..im not rich but i wish to own a "luxury car" for the needs of my own personal expression (i wanna LOOK rich). Enlighten me someone...
Just another way to tax the "percieved " rich so the government can fund the social programs for the down and out poor who have grown up on welfare and are too lazy to get a job and chase a better life. Thank the democrats...
