i put a Nak CD-Glove box Changer in my 540i. The unit was not that expensive. I believe it is cheaper now. I bought mine thru Circle BMW. Depending where you are, Pacific BMW is also cheap, but if you live in CA, you'll have to pay sales tax and shipping.

The expensive part is the installation. The dealer has to rewire the car from the trunk up to the glove box. Labor was expensive. I think I ended up paying about 500+ in labor. They rewired the car by traveling the wires on the driver side to the front, then cut across to the glove box behind the dash. In the end, I think is was worth it. I can change the discs inside the car. The draw back is that there is very little/no space in the glove box. You can put one cd case in there and that is under the changer unit.
